About SFOA

Since 1965 we have educated generations of young South Australians in the Catholic tradition of St Francis of Assisi, where an ethos of humanity and social justice are lived. Values of respect, compassion and stewardship underpin the education of every student at our school. In the spirit of fraternity, we lovingly grow our relationship with our community, including the next generation of family members.

Here, children are at the centre of everything we do. From our very first interaction, we make a commitment to respect, nurture, and form an ongoing relationship with your child. Indeed, we consider your child’s education and wellbeing a shared responsibility – from the Principal to the teachers and all support team members. Behind your child stands a community working to ensure they are seen, heard and valued every single day.

We firmly believe in the value of a broad and diverse education for our students. From Reception to Year 6, our teachers work tirelessly to ensure a consistent and purposeful approach across the curriculum. Knowledge and skills gained in one subject can be applied in other learning areas, and are designed to contribute to lifelong learning.
